A: The story behind Holi involves Hiranyanaksap wanting to kill his son, so he called his sister, Holika who had a magic robe with the power to save her from burning in fire. When she sat on a burning fire along with Prahlad, Prahlad came out of the burning fire safely and Holika was burnt to death.

A: Holi is celebrated with colors to mark the victory of virtue and goodness over evil.
