AlunaGeorge

AlunaGeorge is a British band consisting of singer Aluna Francis and musician George Reid.

Biography

Francis and Reid had been active in other bands before joining forces as a duo. With their independent pop music with R&B and 2step elements, they quickly made a name for themselves and released their first single in 2011. They had their first chart success in October 2012 with Your Drums, Your Love. In January 2013, they were ranked #2 on the Sound of 2013 by a BBC panel, which predicted they would have a breakthrough the following year. Their debut album Body Music was released on 26 July 2013.
