Lille Olympique Sporting Club, commonly called Lille OSC or simply Lille, is a professional football club in France. The team represents the city and metropolitan area of Lille in the country’s north and competes in the top tiers of French football. The club is often nicknamed "Les Dogues" (the mastiffs) and is recognised for a distinctive red and blue kit.

Lille OSC was created in 1944 through the formal merger of two older local clubs: Olympique Lillois (founded in 1902) and SC Fives (founded in 1901).
