David Platt (born 1966) — English footballer, coach and manager
David Platt (born 1966) is an English former midfield international who played in England and Italy, notable for goal-scoring from midfield, and later worked as a coach and football manager.

Playing career
Platt began his professional career in the 1980s and went on to play club football in both England and Italy. During his playing days he was deployed mainly in midfield and gained a reputation for contributing goals from that position. He retired from competitive play in the later 1990s.
