Christian Dannemann Eriksen (born 14 February 1992) is a Danish footballer who plays as a midfielder for the English club Manchester United and the Denmark national team. He earned his first cap in March 2010 and was the youngest member of the Danish squad at the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa. He first appeared for the national side in March 2010, shortly before the tournament.
Club career
Eriksen developed through the youth system at Ajax, where he established himself in the first team and helped the club secure multiple Eredivisie titles. In August 2013 he signed for Tottenham Hotspur, where he became an influential creator in midfield and received the club's Player of the Year award for the 2013–14 season. After spells in Italy with Inter Milan — where he was part of a title-winning season — he continued his career in England with Manchester United.
International career
Eriksen made his senior international debut for Denmark in 2010 as a teenager. Over the following years he became a regular selection, known for his passing, vision, and set-piece ability. He has represented Denmark at major tournaments and served as a key playmaker for the national side.
