Early life and education

Lindaur grew up in a period of social and cultural change in Czechoslovakia. He pursued his studies in Mělník and completed higher education at Charles University in Prague, graduating in 1981. His academic background provided a base for later work in both teaching and cultural journalism.

Career and activities

Across several overlapping roles, Lindaur contributed to the Czech music scene in multiple ways. From 1990 he worked for Rock & Pop magazine, a publication focused on contemporary music and culture, where he wrote reviews, interviews and features. He also produced records for emerging bands—most notably producing the debut album Doba ledová by the band Precedens in 1987—which linked him directly with performers of the era.

In addition to print work, Lindaur was active in broadcasting. For many years he presented the radio programme Beatová klenotnice on Radio Beat, a show that highlighted classic and contemporary rock tracks and introduced listeners to landmark recordings and lesser‑known gems.

Teaching and influence

Alongside journalism and production, Lindaur is described as having worked as a teacher. His combined roles—educator, writer and presenter—made him a connector between musicians, audiences and students.
