Identity and stadium

Traditionally the club plays in red and black shirts and uses an eagle motif in its crest, an emblem tied to the city’s coat of arms. For many decades the Stade du Ray was the club's home ground; since the 2010s the team has played at the modern Allianz Riviera stadium, which was built to host major sporting events and to provide upgraded facilities for supporters.

History and development

Founded in the early 20th century, OGC Nice rose to prominence nationally in the post-war era and enjoyed its most successful spell in the mid-20th century, winning several top-division championships and cup competitions.
