Overview
Denmark sent a small delegation to the 1968 Summer Paralympics in Tel Aviv. The Games, referred to in contemporary sources as the 1968 Summer Paralympics, took place in Tel Aviv from 4 to 13 November 1968, and were hosted in Israel. The Danish team consisted of eight competitors: seven men and one woman.
Team and participation
The Danish delegation was compact and reflective of the era when many national programs were still forming. Official summaries record the composition as eight athletes. While detailed entry lists for each event are incomplete in some historical sources, the team took part in multiple disciplines that were common at the Games.
Events and results
Denmark did not win any medals at the 1968 Games. Early Paralympic record-keeping varied in detail, so full individual results can be limited in surviving reports. Nevertheless, the absence of podium finishes is clear in medal summaries from the event.
Context and significance
The 1968 competition in Tel Aviv was notable because the Paralympics were held separately from the Olympic host city that year. The Paralympic movement in the 1960s was expanding internationally; participation by countries such as Denmark contributed to that growth. The presence of a female competitor on a predominantly male team also reflected slowly increasing opportunities for women with disabilities to compete internationally.

Legacy
Although Denmark won no medals in 1968, participation helped lay groundwork for national development of disability sport and Paralympic programs. Over subsequent decades, many countries, including Denmark, expanded athlete support, training and selection, leading to larger teams and stronger competitive results at later Paralympic Games.
