Mark James Harper (born 26 February 1970) is a British Conservative Party politician and Member of Parliament for the Forest of Dean since 2005. He has served in senior parliamentary and ministerial roles, including Government Chief Whip in the House of Commons (2015–2016). Since 2022 he has been the Secretary of State for Transport, responsible for national transport policy and the Department for Transport.
