Markus Rosenberg (born 27 September 1982) is a Swedish former professional football forward. During his playing career he spent several seasons with German club Werder Bremen and was selected for the Sweden national team.
Club career
Rosenberg began his senior career in his native Sweden before moving abroad. Over the years he played in multiple European leagues, including notable spells in the Netherlands, Spain, England and Germany. He is particularly associated with a lengthy period at Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga and later returned to his original Swedish club to finish his playing career.
International career
At international level Rosenberg represented the Sweden national team, earning senior caps and contributing with goals across qualifying campaigns and friendly matches. He was part of Sweden's player pool for a number of years and appeared in several important fixtures for the country.
Playing style
