Dwayne Arlan Alons (October 30, 1946 – November 29, 2014) was an American politician and military officer who represented Iowa’s 4th District in the Iowa House of Representatives. A member of the Republican Party, he served in the state legislature from 1999 until his death in 2014. Parallel to his political career, Alons had a long tenure with the Iowa Air National Guard, rising to the rank of brigadier general and serving as Chief of Staff at its headquarters.

Career and public service

Alons combined military leadership with elected office. As a senior officer in the Iowa Air National Guard, he oversaw planning and staff functions at the state headquarters, a role that informed his public profile and legislative priorities.
