Daniel James Schneider (born January 14, 1966, in Memphis) is an American television writer, producer and former actor. He became a prominent creator of youth-oriented comedy for cable television from the 1990s through the 2010s, and is often known online by the handle DanWarp.
Early career and development
Schneider began in entertainment as an actor and a comedy writer, working on network television and in sketch formats before moving behind the camera as a producer. Over time he developed a recognizable approach to children's and teen sitcoms, combining broad physical comedy with fast-paced verbal jokes and recurring character types.
