Name and origins

The sisters began performing together in the late 1980s. The band's current name is adapted from the Navajo word shideezhí, a term often translated as "my little sister," which reflects both their sibling bond and their original artistic identity. Early in their career they performed as The Osborn Sisters and pursued music professionally while based in Utah and later Nashville.
