Dhi Qar Governorate

Dhi Qar (Arabic ذي قار, DMG Ḏī Qār) is an Iraqi governorate with an area of 12,900 km². In 2003, 1,454,200 people lived here. The capital is Nasiriya. Together with Maisan and Basra, Dhi Qar plans to form an autonomous region.

- Nasiriya
- ar-Rifa'i
- ash-shatra
- Suq ash-Shuyuch
On 15 October 2005, out of 463,710 voters, 97.15% voted yes to the new constitution.
