Overview

Buitreraptor is a genus of small dromaeosaurid theropod known from Cretaceous deposits in what is now Patagonia. It measured roughly 1.5 metres (about four to five feet) from snout to tail and combined features of active predators with adaptations not seen in many northern dromaeosaurs. Fossils attributed to this genus were recovered from Argentinian rocks and described in the early 21st century.
