Robert Lewandowski (Polish pronunciation: [ˈrɔbɛrt lɛvanˈdɔfskʲi](listen); born 21 August 1988) is a Polish professional footballer who plays as a striker for La Liga club Barcelona and the Poland national team.
He began his career with Znicz Pruszków in 2005, then continuously moved up the Polish tiers until he made it to the first-tier club Lech Poznań in 2008.
