Jay Robert Inslee (born February 9, 1951) is an American politician and member of the Democratic Party. He has served as the governor of the state of Washington since 2013 and previously represented Washington in the U.S. House of Representatives for more than two decades. Inslee is widely recognized for placing climate change and clean energy at the center of his public agenda and for pursuing reforms in state education policy.
