Wilfred De'Ath (28 July 1937 – 19 February 2020) was a British author and a journalist. He worked for the BBC in the 1960s and 1970s and writes a column in The Oldie. De'Ath was born to a German mother and English father and grew up in Elstree, Hertfordshire, England. He studied at the University of Oxford. During the 1990s, De'ath served prison sentences for a theft.

On 11 November 2012, De'ath was arrested as part of Operation Yewtree in an alleged connection with the Jimmy Savile–BBC sex scandal; he was later released without charge after the complainant withdrew her statement. De'ath was later told that he would not face any charges, and said that the police action had been "overzealous".

De'ath died on 19 February 2020 at the age of 82.
