Bani Suwaif (Arabic محافظة بني سويف, DMG Muḥāfaẓat Banī Suwaif, Egyptian Arabic Muḥāfẓet Beni Suef) or Beni Suef is a governorate in Egypt with a population of 3,154,100, located in central Egypt.

It borders the governorates of al-Fayyum and al-Jiza to the north, al-Bahr al-ahmar to the east, al-Minya to the south, and al-Jiza to the west. The eastern part of the governorate extends into the Arabian Desert. The administrative center is Bani Suwaif (Beni Suef).
