Beijing Museum of Natural History

The Beijing Museum of Natural History (Chinese 北京自然博物馆, pinyin Běijīng zìrán bówùguǎn, English Beijing Museum of Natural History (BMNH)) is a natural history museum in China. The museum building is located in Beijing's Dongcheng district at No. 126 Tianqiao Nan Street. The institution was founded in 1951 under the name National Central Natural History Museum (中央自然博物馆) and received its current name in 1962.

The museum also shows dinosaurs in its exhibition. On display are the 26-metre-long sauropod Mamenchisaurus, various large predatory dinosaurs from the group of "Sinraptoridae", the "prosauropod" Lufengosaurus (comparable to the European "prosauropod" Plateosaurus), which is very well known in China, and the bird-like Anchiornis.
